Honoring Students, Teachers, and Staff by Bhaktapur ISAN

Institutional Schools’ Association Nepal (ISAN) has organized a program to honor students, teachers, and staff. The event was organized by the Bhaktapur District Committee of Institutional Schools’ Association Nepal (ISAN). The program honored students who excelled in their respective schools in the academic year 2080 BS (Nepali calendar) and teachers and staff members who have provided continuous service for more than 15 years.

The chief guest at the inauguration of the program, Narayan Man Bijukchhen (Rohit), President and prominent politician of the Nepal Peasant and Worker’s Party, emphasized the need to prepare competent teachers for the construction of a new society and expressed the idea that the country should move forward. He also highlighted the issue of corruption and irregularities in politics, emphasizing the need for teachers to be politically aware and responsible.

The program also aimed to convey the message to the country and the people about the prevalence of corruption and irregularities. It was also mentioned that those in positions of power and ministers of the ruling party have been involved in corruption and irregularities and warned about the negative impact on the country’s development due to greed and corruption.

Overall, the program aimed to honor outstanding students, teachers, and staff while also raising awareness about the need for ethical and responsible teachers and the negative effects of corruption in politics on the country’s development.

Member of the Province Assembly of Bagmati Province, Surendraraj Gosain, stating that the government has been indifferent towards private education and teachers, mentioned that it is not favorable for the government to rely solely on the face of the government. He highlighted that it is relevant to respect the contribution of the teachers, and pointed out that the country’s educational level has not improved when the government has taken wrong steps towards education.

During the program, the central chairman of ISAN, Premjan Thapa Shrestha, mentioned that all parties related to education reform should contribute, not just one party, and emphasized that respect was given to that party to motivate it. Thapa emphasized on raising the level of education nationwide and urged the state not to discriminate.

Advisor Sarojraj Gosain encouraged teachers to engage in various training, discussions, book studies, and research. Central Treasurer Ukesh Kawan mentioned that the state of education in the district was in disarray, not only due to the teachers but also because of the wrong policies of the Ministry of Education. Stressing the need for intellectuals and wise individuals to study books and engage in dialogue to make interactions, he emphasized that teachers also need to take political and social responsibilities seriously.

The district committee president of ISAN, Bhaktapur, Krishna Ram Twanabasu, assumed the presidency of the program, stating that education is the state’s responsibility, emphasizing the need for value-based and culturally enriched education today. Information was provided by President Twanabasu that out of the total 80 attendees which included 22 students, 58 teachers, and staff, were honored in the program. In the same program, two newly affiliated schools in ISAN were provided membership certificates as well.
