Himalayan Glory Celebrates Kindergarten Graduation (दीक्षान्त समारोह)


Bhaktapur, Chaitra 27 – The Dikshant Samaroh (graduation ceremony) for students transitioning from pre-primary to primary level was held today at Himalayan Glory English School, located at Shahid Smriti Playground, Ittache. The event was graced by former Ward 15 Chairman Ravindra Kharbuja of Bhaktapur Municipality as the chief guest. During the program, students from Playgroup to SKG showcased their talents.

On the occasion, Chief Guest Kharbuja highlighted the school’s significant role in realizing the Nepal Majdoor Kisan Party’s vision of “One Home, One Graduate” in the education sector. He emphasized that students are becoming smarter with time and circumstances, stressing the crucial role of teachers, parents, and a conducive school environment in shaping better students.

Purushottam Gwacha, General Secretary of ISAN (Institutional Schools Association Nepal), informed that ISAN was established as an umbrella organization for institutional schools to provide quality education at affordable fees, especially in the current scenario where the state has not fully shouldered educational responsibilities. He mentioned that ISAN has been conducting various programs for educational development and stressed the importance of parental involvement in extracurricular and academic activities, which positively impacts students’ learning.

Shyamsundar Matang, Ward Member of Ward No. 2, shared that the school was established through the efforts and guidance of senior Nepal Majdoor Kisan Party workers and has contributed to Bhaktapur’s overall educational development. He emphasized that a strong tripartite relationship between parents, students, and teachers strengthens the school and plays a vital role in students’ holistic academic growth.

The program, chaired by School Principal Krishna Ram Twanabasu, highlighted the school’s educational approach, which focuses on physical, mental, social, emotional, linguistic, and cultural development. Principal Twanabasu said, “Every child can learn, but in different ways and at different times,” reflecting the school’s teaching philosophy. He also informed that eight pre-primary teachers completed a two-year training program on Montessori and Early Childhood Development. Additionally, starting from the academic session 2082, the school will introduce special programs for basic-level classes (Grades 1 to 5).

The event also featured speeches by Pre-Primary In-Charge Kamalshwari Kharbuja and teachers Tulsi Laxmi Dumru, Ram Laxmi Kasula, and Nisha Ghatuwa.
